If you like all things motorcycles, or the idea of all things motorcycles, you like to occasionally let your hair down, get a bit dirty, be a bit reckless and adventurous, then Ellaspede Custom Motorcycles have come up with the goods by introducing a brand new event to its Dust Hustle calender. Rider tickets are still available and spectators can pay on the day. Dust Hustle is not your ordinary motorcycle and MX event. It allows riders of any skill level, on any sort of bike, to let loose around a dirt and grass track and have some fun with your mates – whether it be on an everyday road bike, an old vintage classic, a cheap gumtree find, a postie bike or MX bikes, there’s a class for everyone.
Event Details:

Saturday 22nd April 2017

Rider Tickets:
$125 includes camping for Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd.

Spectator Tickets:
$2 (Under16 Free) Camping $10 per site

Address: QVMX BIDDADDABA – 51 Spengler Rd, Biddaddaba (Tabragalba) QLD 4285
(Less than 1 hour inland west of Surfers paradise)

Often unloved, this mid size grass track has all the ingredients for our pick of the event. Reasonably flat with some on and off camber corners, it’s a ripe mix of tight turns and short straights. A sure fire hit with the more nimble bikes with low HP.

This one’s your big boy! Over 2km long and covering some sweeping hills, the ‘Hollywood’ has got everything you wished for in one track. Big corners, long straights and some tight sections just to test the brakes.

A special track developed only for Dust Hustle™ 4! Practice the throttle control and race starts for this one. Settle the scores with your fellow hustlers or simply decide who buys first at the bar. Did we mention it’s on a hill?

If you are unable to ride, then come watch and support the event instead.  It’s a hilarious, non-competitive event that allows riders on inappropriate bikes who dress up and race around dirt tracks on all manner of motorbikes, it’s not to be missed!  Spectator tickets are available on the day for only $2 (Under 16 FREE) or you can join in the festivities and camp ($10per camp site) and be a part of the trackside after party.

My Dust Hustle Experience

I was lucky enough to grab a ticket in last years 2016 event in the ‘Old Mates Class’ and rode an old 1973 Ossa Enduro 250, a beautiful Spanish senorita of a bike, if I do say so myself… and she was proudly lent to me by my dad.   I’m definitely not an experienced rider, I’ve only been riding for a few years, I’d never even been on a dirt track, but I felt welcomed within a supportive, non-competitive and fun environment.  What is hilarious is that I thought I was sliding round the track, but looking back at photos, I was clearly not and I look like I’m casually cruising around on a Sunday ride. It felt fast for me! Nevertheless, others were riding hard and each year I plan to give it a bit more. This is me on the right… No actually, this is me below…

If you miss this event, don’t worry there’s another one coming up:
– Dust Hustle 5 – Saturday 5 November at the Mick Doohan Raceway, Northgate Brisbane.
– Rider tickets are on sale 30th  August, 2017.
– Ellaspede put on such a great events and I’m looking forward to seeing how Dust Hustle 4 goes this weekend.
